In the annual year-ending edition of “At Issue,” we take a look back at the politics and players of 2020.

Minnesota became the epicenter of a national discussion over police accountability and racial justice after George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis Police custody. In response, Minnesota passed a “police accountability” law after months of discussion.

2020 in review: Top news

Minnesotans also continued the tradition of running for the nation’s highest office with Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D) campaigning for President. After doing well in New Hampshire and Iowa, Klobuchar couldn’t mount support in South Carolina and bowed out to support Joe Biden.

We also take a look at the future of transit, whose ridership has seen significant declines in the stay-at-home pandemic era. 

KSTP meteorologist Dave Dahl joins us for one final interview. The television veteran retired after 43 years on-air — all with KSTP.
