UPDATE: A dog that was inside a vehicle when it was stolen Saturday in Bloomington has been found.

Bloomington Police said Monday that the dog, named Remy, was found safe and was reunited with his owner.

However, police are still investigating the theft of the vehicle and continue to search for it.

Police are investigating after a car was stolen Saturday outside a Bloomington hotel with the victim's dog inside.

According to the Bloomington Police Department, a 2017 Kia Sorento with Minnesota license plate number AXE459 was stolen just after 10 p.m. while it was parked with the engine running outside the Element Hotel, 2400 82nd St. E.

The victim's dog, Remy, a blue merle border collie, was inside the vehicle when it was stolen.

Police say they are reviewing hotel security footage that shows the suspect.

Anyone who has seen the car or the dog is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at 952-563-4900.
