Five people were taken into custody Monday afternoon following a police chase that ended in Plymouth.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, just before 2 p.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle in north Minneapolis that was believed to have an individual wanted in connection to a shooting inside.

When the vehicle fled, officers pursued it.

Police said the pursuit went through several cities in the metro. When the vehicle was in the area of Highway 55 and Peony Lane in Plymouth, a Crystal police officer was able to stop the suspect vehicle using a PIT maneuver.

Police said five occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody. Multiple guns, including a semi-automatic assault rifle, were found inside of the vehicle, according to police.
