Previous Experience
Matt joined the KSTP 5 Eyewitness News team in June 2016. He has worked as a reporter and now anchors the Midday newscast with Leah McLean. He came to the Twin Cities from Atlanta, Ga. where he worked as an anchor and reporter for WSB-TV. Previously, Matt worked at WTAE in Pittsburgh, Pa. and WGAL-TV in Lancaster, Pa. He’s no stranger to the Midwest though – he started his career at KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, SD.

Education
Matt graduated with honors from Elon University in North Carolina where he studied communications and political science. Over the years, Matt has received many awards for his investigative work, including three regional Emmy Awards and five first-place awards from the Associated Press.

Personal Interests
Matt may be a Pennsylvania native, but he’s excited to be living in the Twin Cities. He’s an avid runner and cyclist and also practices yoga. Matt lives in downtown Minneapolis and is looking forward to meeting new people and exploring his new home.
