Previous experience
Eric joined KSTP 5 Eyewitness News in December of 2018. He came to the Twin Cities from Boston. Eric has also worked as an investigative reporter in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as Orlando, Florida. He got his first full time job in TV news in Chico, CA at KHSL.

Memorable stories/awards
Some of Eric’s most rewarding stories include a yearlong investigation that found missing foster kids kicked out of child welfare systems while they were still unaccounted for. In 2019, Eric traveled to South Texas and found the original birth records of a Minnesota Marine veteran after his own government challenged his citizenship and rejected his application for a passport. Eric has won multiple regional Murrow and Emmy awards, including “Outstanding Reporter” in the Upper Midwest in 2019 and “Outstanding Investigative Reporter” in New England in 2018.

Personal interests
When he’s not in front of the camera, you can often find Eric behind the turntables pursuing his other passion as a DJ. He fell in love with hip-hop music as a kid in the 80’s and has collected hundreds of records since then. Eric’s hobby is his own reminder that you can’t always judge a book by its cover.
