New round of snow to move through state Tuesday into Wednesday

Another round of snow is expected to move through the state Tuesday that likely will affect evening travel.

According to Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow, snowfall is expected to develop in the afternoon, with up to an inch of accumulation by sunset and another 2-4 inches Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory for portions of central Minnesota, all of southern Minnesota, and adjacent areas of west-central Wisconsin from Tuesday morning through early Wednesday morning.

According to the NWS, snow accumulation could total 5 inches in some areas.
