KSTP meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas said Minnesotans are in for a wet and cloudy afternoon and night on Wednesday.
Some thunderstorms could also be in the mix during the afternoon hours heading into Wednesday night. Yuhas adds that gusty winds and possible hail could also be included in these storms.
The metro, as well as western, eastern and central parts of the state will see this wet front move through the state.
Showers are expected to continue through Thursday morning. Yuhas says temperatures will dramatically drop on Thursday, with highs reaching the 40s.
