It's easy to pay attention to Christian Laettner at a youth basketball camp. The former Wolves forward will get in your face and hold you accountable for your actions, which we saw this week

If you think it's harsh, it's not. Laettner has a passion for the game and wants to see all the kids at the camp match his desire.

"These days people feel many kids can't handle a little criticism and instruction. I'm not into yelling at kids. What I want to see is for the kids to share the love I have for the game. I want these boys and girls to put a true effort into their skills and develop physically and mentally as a player and a good teammate," Laettner told KSTP as he ran a camp for the Wolves this week in Maple Grove.

Laettner has been coming back to Minnesota for the past decade to help the Wolves youth camps during the summer.

"I still have a lot of friends here in Minnesota. I love coming back here. When the Wolves reached out to me to be a part of their program, it was an easy decision for me to say yes," Laettner said.

Laettner was the 3rd overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft and played for the Wolves 1992-1996. Laettner was also on the greatest basketball team ever assembled when he played for the 1992 Dream Team. They represented the United States in the 1992 Olympics, where they won gold.
