Thursday, Minnesota's professional sports teams gathered at Allianz Field for the Greater Twin Cities United Way Action Day.

The event is an annual volunteer event where community members typically fill backpacks with school supplies for families in need ahead of the school year.

However, due to the pandemic, the backpacks were packed last month and picked up for distribution Thursday.
