Irondale High School graduate Sean Sutherlin is transferring from the University of New Hampshire to the University of Minnesota to join the Gophers men's basketball program.

Sutherlin announced his decision on Twitter Sunday evening.  He averaged 12.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 33.9 minutes per game as a senior last season at New Hampshire. Sutherlin is taking advantage of the extra season being granted to student-athletes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gophers head coach Ben Johnson offered Sutherlin a scholarship Sunday and Sutherlin committed.
