Minnesota Twins center fielder Byron Buxton began his rehab stint with the St. Paul Saints as they took on the Omaha Storm Chasers on Tuesday evening at CHS Field in St. Paul.

Buxton was the designated hitter for the Saints and batted second in the lineup. In his first at-bat, he flew out. In his second at-bat, he drew a walk. And, in his third at-bat, he hit a triple off the right field wall.

Buxton will play in center field on Wednesday, then likely again on Thursday. He then is expected to re-join the Twins this weekend against the Houston Astros at Target Field.
