In a responding move, the Twins are calling up their 2018 first-round draft pick Trevor Larnach. He is ranked as the 69th-best prospect in baseball by MLB.com

The 24-year-old outfielder will make his Major League debut. In 172 career Minor League games, Larnach has hit .306, with 20 home runs and 96 RBI in 641 at-bats. Two of his three hits this season for the St. Paul Saints have been home runs, according to MiLB.com

To make room for Larnach on the 40-man roster, the Twins have designated left-handed pitcher Brandon Waddell for release or assignment. Waddell made four appearances over two stints with the Twins this season.
