The Park Center Pirates boys basketball team defeated the No. 2 (Class 3A) Totino-Grace Eagles 77-60 Thursday evening at Park Center High School.

It was a closely contested first half ending in Park Center leading 32-29, with senior James Parker having a great first half for the Pirates.

In the second half, Totino-Grace took a 40-36 lead with about 13 minutes left following a steal and massive dunk by Eagle sophomore Taison Chatman.

But, from there Park Center dominated the game. The Pirates went on a 22-4 run, capped off by a three from freshman Jackson Fowlkes to put Park Center up 58-44 with 6:39 left in the game.

Park Center's junior star Braeden Carrington was able to put Totino-Grace away down the stretch with a late three and late layup to put the Eagles away for good. Carrington finished with 20 points on the night.

Park Center wins 77-60 and improves to 11-4 on the year, while Totino-Grace drops to 12-3.
