Head coach Michael Ach is in his fifth year coaching the Bears. He says players understands the target winning five state titles hangs on their backs. But, led by senior captain Sonia Baig, he feels Blake knows how to handle the pressure of a run at a potential sixth straight title.

Baig finished third in the Class A individual tournament last year losing in the semifinals to teammate Arlina Shen, who went on to win. However, Shen graduated after winning the state title and Baig was ready to step into the leadership role.

Blake is 5-1 on the season, having won 7-0 in their last three wins.
