The Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights defeated the Blake Bears 5-2, Saturday evening at Blake Ice Arena.

The Red Knights struck first when senior forward Jackson Bisson scored off a rebound to put Benilde-St. Margaret's up 1-0 with just over eight minutes left in the first period.

Blake would answer just two minutes later when junior forward William Matzke scored off an assist from sophomore Carter Krenke.

However, still in the first, Benilde-St. Margaret's senior forward Grant Ellings scored on a rocket, off an assist from junior forward Nick Mikan, to make it 2-1 heading into the second period.

The game remained 2-1 into the third period when Red Knights junior forward Adam Marshall scored to make it 3-1 with 12:10 left in the game. Blake answered back when senior forward Connor Mahony took the puck end-to-end and assisted junior forward Nate Heithoff to make it 3-2 with 5:08 left. But, on the ensuing face-off, Red Knights freshman forward Michael Risteau hit the back of the net on a long shot to put Benilde-St. Margaret's back up two goals with 5:03 left in the game.

Benilde-St. Margaret's junior forward added an empty-net goal to give the Red Knights the 5-2 victory.
