The #5 Blake Bears defeated the Providence Academy Lions 9-0 Tuesday evening at Blake.

The Bears started the scoring when junior Jackson Lagos scored six minutes in to make it 1-0 Blake. Then, Blake senior Benji Pomonis scored 12 minutes in to make it 2-0 Bears.

In the second half, Pomonis drew a penalty in the box to setup a penalty kick for Blake. Senior captain Keegan James did not waste the opportunity and scored to make it 3-0, nine minutes into the second half.

Not even one minute later, Pomonis added his second goal to make it 4-0 Blake. Bears junior Tristan Poul then scored with 20 minutes remaining to make it a 5-0 contest, and make it a running clock. But, the running clock did not stop the scoring from Blake. Pomonis scored again to make 6-0 and give himself a hat trick.

Then, Poul scored his second goal to make it 7-0 Blake. That goal was followed by a goal from junior Drew Shapiro to make it 8-0. Finally, Lagos scored his second goal of the contest for Blake to make it a 9-0 game.

Blake's next game is against Minneapolis South.
