The metro area is seeing a continuation of pleasant weather Tuesday.

Sunshine is expected throughout the day and temperatures are set to rise above 70 degrees, KSTP Chief Meteorologist Ken Barlow said.

Barlow said Tuesday was quite different, weather-wise, from roughly the same day a year ago.

On Oct. 20, 2020, the Twin Cities saw 7.9 inches of snow.

Looking ahead, Barlow said temperatures are set to return to the 50s by late Tuesday afternoon, and temperatures will likely continue dropping as the week goes on.

Most of the metro will see frost by Friday and Saturday mornings as overnight temperatures hit 30 degrees, Barlow said.
