Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has found an attorney to represent him for his expected appeal of his conviction in George Floyd's murder.

Chauvin was convicted of second- and third-degree murder as well as second-degree manslaughter.

He was sentenced to more than 22 years in prison.

Earlier this month, the Minnesota Supreme Court denied Chauvin's request for a public defender. Chauvin stated his debts exceed his assets, leaving him to represent himself because he wouldn't be able to cover attorney's fees.
