The Minnesota Department of Agriculture announced Thursday the emerald ash borer has been found in Mower County.
Mower County is now the 23rd Minnesota county to have the emerald ash borer.

An MDA employee was able to find signs of the beetle in several ash trees north of Racine, Minnesota.
Signs of emerald ash borers in trees include woodpecker damage and cracks in the bark.
