Driver killed in head-on collision involving semi in Oak Grove

A driver died in a crash that involved a semi-truck in Oak Grove on Tuesday morning. 

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, at about 5:03 a.m., officers, firefighters and EMS personnel responded to a crash on Viking Boulevard Northwest near the Cedar Drive Northwest cross street. It involved a pickup truck and a semi-truck. 

A crash investigation reveals that the semi was traveling eastbound while the pickup was traveling westbound on Viking Boulevard Northwest when the pickup crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the semi-truck. The male driver of the pickup was declared dead at the scene, while the semi-truck driver wasn't hurt in the crash. 

The driver of the pickup has been identified as Adam Peter Bonzelet, 34, from Foley.
