Two men were arrested Sunday night in connection to a home invasion and assault in Bloomington.

According to Bloomington police, last month, a man pretending to be a county inspector scammed a couple after he looked through their home and told them it had numerous violations.

On Sunday evening, police say the same suspect and an accomplice forced their way into the residence and demanded money.

Police say an elderly woman was assaulted and held at knife point.

Police were notified by someone who was on the phone with the victim prior to the break-in.

Officers arrived at the scene and were able to arrest the two men, identified as Danny Lee Denzer and Robert Lawrence Gabrio.
