A Minnesota company is getting national recognition for a product that will help keep you dry this summer.

It's called "NoSweat," and what started as an idea in college has grown into something that many professional athletes use.

The Minnetonka-based company was featured on ABC's Good Morning America this week during the "Deals and Steals" segment.

"It was really exciting obviously to be featured on something like Good Morning America," said David Holt, COO of NoSweat.

The product is a sticky liner that goes inside a hat, helmet or visor, and it then soaks up any sweat to keep you dry.

"Designed to keep the sweat out of your face, out of your eyes, keep your skin clean and also keep your headwear clean," Holt said.

Holt said each liner lasts about three to five uses, and the idea came from a former colleague in college.

"He was taking some business classes and had to come up with a business idea, came up with NoSweat," Holt said.

After multiple patents, the sweat-absorbing technology is now getting the attention of professional athletes, including all 31 NHL teams, and it's an officially licensed product of the PGA.

"It's really cool to see professional athletes using a product and thinking that it works as well as we think it does," Holt said.

Plus, during the pandemic, they adapted to help out front-line workers.

"We had our visor liner and we said, 'Well, maybe this would work in a face shield,' so we sent a bunch to them to try out, give to their nurses and their staff and we got really good feedback," Holt said.

On the day of their appearance on GMA, NoSweat did a month's worth of business, and now the team is embracing the opportunity.

"The response has been terrific," Holt said. "It's been exciting, it's been a lot of long hours getting those orders fulfilled, but we'll take that problem any day of the week."
